Federal agents busted into the Brooklyn home of Brianna Suggs, a consultant whose firm has earned more than $150,000 from the mayor’s campaign team since 2021 — just as Adams rushed back to the Big Apple, bailing on a slate of White House immigration meetings, almost as soon as he had landed in Washington DC, The Post confirmed.
The raid – which law enforcement sources said was purposely conducted while Adams was absent – was connected to a broader public corruption probe by the feds looking into whether money was illegally funneled to the Adams campaign via the KSK Construction Group in Brooklyn.
Investigators specifically sought evidence of whether Adams’ campaign conspired with the Turkish government and the construction company to move foreign cash into his campaign accounts by using straw donors, according to The New York Times.
[Stay tuned. If this is true, expect a big FARA indictment to drop soon, but that may be small potatoes. The sources also say that the investigation involves wire fraud and the theft of federal funds. This may open up some questions about what the Turks are doing in the US. Adams himself may be a target, too. He bailed out on meetings in DC and went right back to NYC when he heard about the raid and the federal probe. — Ed]
