[Maybe Ali al-Nuaimi should have a word with the Hamas Caucus in Congress. I’ll bet the UAE is laying off that statement with others about Israel’s responsibility to refrain from targeting civilians, etc etc, but the UAE knows what’s at stake here. Hamas is part of Iran’s encirclement strategy against the Sunni nations, and no one will lament Hamas’ demise in those Sunni capitals. Even so, this is still a pretty bold statement. — Ed]
