State and local police identified Card, who reportedly had been committed to a mental health facility over the summer, as a person of interest in Wednesday’s shooting.
[As of this moment, there haven’t been any details on why Card was committed and more importantly why he was released. You can bet there will be a deluge of questions about those issues. As of now, the body count stands at 18, and Card is still on the run, and one has to wonder whether anyone will find him alive. — Ed]
