[DeSantis is right — we are at this crisis because we keep insisting on ‘proportionate’ response to terror attacks. Hamas thrives on ‘proportionate,’ because they hide behind civilians and never incur the costs of their own actions. Wars end through overwhelming action, not tit-for-tat exchanges, as the last eighteen years since the end of Gaza occupation has shown.
