[This should be embarrassing for the Washington Post. Emily Heil clearly got caught cooking up a hit piece and has retreated under rhetorical fire for it. Calling up sponsors of an event and telling them that Portnoy is “misogynistic” (I assume that’s what Portnoy meant) is not the work of someone who’s “just reporting,” as Heil claimed. That’s activism — and if that’s the standard for journalism at the Washington Post, it explains a LOT about their product and its reliability. — Ed]
