“[Death] could be just around the corner at 90,” he said. “But I’m quite happy. I’m sitting here writing, doing my thing. I like it. I have two children, three grandchildren and a wife; and if the book I’ve written is a success, everything it makes will be left to them after I’ve gone.”
[He’s had one heck of a run, and is still going. I wish I were as sanguine about it as Caine, but maybe if I get to 90, I will be. — Ed]
