Lin Wood: I'm not flipping on Trump

Wood’s name was listed as a “witnesses for the state” in a document filed by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis on Wednesday. Previously, a grand jury had recommended Wood’s indictment for his attempts to overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia, which Willis declined to pursue.

Wood told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that he’s been told he’ll be subpoenaed, but had not talked to Willis about the scope of the questions he’ll be asked.

“I didn’t flip on President Trump. That’s just pure nonsense,” Wood told the local news outlet. “I wouldn’t have any knowledge to flip on him.”

[Witnesses for the state can include hostile witnesses, although that’s not generally how prosecutors prefer to set up their cases. Then again, Wood may not want to reveal whatever he *is* telling Willis. It’s also possible that Wood may be cooperating against other defendants, since there are 18 others and a rather disparate set of crimes alleged that are being shoehorned into a RICO predicate. — Ed]
