AG Merrick Garland just admitted that David Weiss did NOT have full authority during the Hunter Biden investigation.
"They could refuse to partner with him."
This directly contradicts Garland's previous claims about Weiss' authority. pic.twitter.com/xZYJhz2PWG

Merrick Garland keeps lying, claiming David Weiss had “full authority” to bring any charges he wanted against Hunter Biden. (Spoiler: He didn’t want to bring any charges.)
But Weiss had to go begging to prosecutors in other states to bring charges in those jurisdictions — and they turned him down.
Merrick Garland perjures himself here, claiming that Weiss had “full authority” as he’s previously pejuriously claimed, but prosecutors in other states could “refuse to partner with him” on investigating Hunter Biden.
In other words: He did not have “full authority.”
[This is an absurd attempt to keep the previous modified limited hangout in place. Everyone knows the answer to this question, thanks to Gary Shapley and the other IRS whistleblowers. It’s become obvious that Garland is covering up his previous attempts to lie about Weiss’ actual authority. We will have more on this as it goes along, obviously, but David has already written about it on the main blog. — Ed]
