Guess where Christie support is surging?

Chris Christie is running away with support from at least one major voting bloc in his presidential bid.

The only problem is it’s among the least important groups in the Republican primary.

The former New Jersey governor has seen his popularity soar with Democrats. Whereas Democrats once considered him a bully, a threat and an opportunistic apologist for Donald Trump, they now can’t get enough of his new Trump-bashing persona.

[Amusing, but it’s hardly surprising — and it’s not even Christie’s fault, really. Republicans are doing the same thing with RFK Jr, trying to pose as something other than naked partisans by pumping up a potential challenger to current leadership in the other party. If Christie hadn’t jumped into the race, Democrats might be developing A Strange New Respect for Doug Burgum or Chris Sununu, or maybe even Mike Pence if they didn’t have any other options. They’ll claim that they’d support Christie in a general election, but then would Milkshake Duck him the moment he clinched the GOP nomination. — Ed]
