Loudoun County officials still owe money for "lavish" trip to Ghana

Loudoun County Chair Phyllis Randall appears to still owe Loudoun County money for her hotel room upgrade in Ghana.

Randall said she would reimburse the county for the difference in her room upgrade after a 7News investigation found that she upgraded her room at taxpayer expense during a sister city trip to Ghana where her husband accompanied her.

After her upgrade, the hotel room cost more than twice as much, totaling $2,500. According to the county, Randall reimbursed the county $660 since 7News’ story first aired in July. But the difference in the room upgrade was $1,250.

[It seems the trip the county chair and a couple of supervisors took to Ghana set the county back over 60 grand. Between the school board and these clowns, Loudoun is covering itself in entitlement glory. ~ Beege]
