Comer to Bidens: Wonderful thing, subpoenas

In an interview on Fox Business, Comer explained that his panel is building a “case” that will hold up in court for a legal fight built upon financial records and testimony gathered as investigators look into the flow of millions of dollars flowing to members of the First Family from foreign nationals — part of an endeavor that could soon lead to an impeachment inquiry.

“This was always gonna end with the Bidens coming in front of the committee. We are going to subpoena the family,” Comer told anchor Maria Bartiromo. “We are putting the case together to win in court,” he added. “Obviously with all the opposition and obstruction we are getting from the Biden attorneys now, we know that this is going to end up in court when we subpoena the Bidens.”

[This should get interesting. The headline quote comes from the film “Absence of Malice,” spoken by Wilford Brimley in his role as sort of the Deus ex Machina in the third act. In that film, the subpoenas led to resignations and firings. Will subpoenas do the same here — and do we really WANT President Kamala Harris as a result? — Ed]
