Craig Deleeuw Robertson, a resident of Provo, Utah, was killed on Wednesday while agents executed a search warrant on his house for threats he made. He allegedly made a threat on Monday about needing a sniper rifle and camouflage ahead of Biden’s visit to the state this week. …
The statement added that the incident unfolded when “special agents attempted to serve arrest and search warrants at a residence.”
Robertson, described as between 70 and 75 years old, also allegedly threatened Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg, saying he wanted to assassinate him.
[Some are noting that Biden was nowhere near Utah when this took place, but that’s almost certainly irrelevant. It seems very unlikely that FBI agents went to his house to assassinate Robertson; it sounds more like Robertson may have resisted the search. We’ll need more details before we can come to a conclusion on this, of course, but that goes in either direction. — Ed]
