On Wednesday, former ambassador to the United Nations and GOP presidential hopeful Nikki Haley told Fox News, “I’m not obsessively anti-Trump like (Chris Christie),” saying that she is more focused on policies than just former President Donald Trump’s personality.
Haley, who is also the former governor of South Carolina and served in her UN post under Trump, said earlier in the week that she’d support Trump if he becomes the Republican nominee for president in 2024, even as she also stated that she doesn’t believe he can win the general election.
“I would support him because I am not going to have a President Kamala Harris. We can’t afford that. That is not going to happen,” Haley said in an interview with CNBC’s “Squawk Box” on Monday, but she further suggested that the country needs a “new generational leader.”
