Pastor Kenneth Sharpton Glasgow, the younger brother of the Reverend Al Sharpton, has been jailed for 30 months for various charges that include income tax evasion, drug trafficking, and lying to obtain Social Security disability benefits.

Daily Mail reported that Glasgow, 58, was sentenced to over two years behind bars after pleading guilty to embezzling $407,000 from two non-profit organizations that he founded. These organizations were The Ordinary People Society (TOPS), a felon voting rights advocacy organization that is located in Dothana, Alabama, and the Prodigal Child Project.

Prosecutors alleged that Glasgow may have taken nearly $1 million from the nonprofits without reporting the income, but a judge rejected this. Glasgow is set to begin his prison term on August 17, and his defense attorney Jim Parkman said that 30 months behind bars was a “fair sentence.”
