Of course, the real question isn’t who brought in the cocaine, but why the media is even marginally entertaining the story, and why they seem so willing to let the public speculate about Kamala Harris’ (very tenuous but hilarious) connection to the substance.

Look no further than Gavin Newsom for the answers. The Democrat party is desperate to get rid of old Sleepy Joe and Cackling Kamala, but they are the incumbents. How do you get rid of them in the run-up to a reelection campaign? There are a couple of options – death or scandal. Looks like (so far) the Dems have chosen scandal. They aren’t making as big a deal out of these scandals as they probably should, but for state-run media to even whisper a hint of negativity about a Democrat is a big sign that the fix is in.

Newsom can’t take Kamala on the campaign trail. They’re from the same state, so could never run together, even if they were inclined to (which they are not); but getting rid of such a HISTORIC VICE PRESIDENT™ is tricky. It’s not great optics for the white men in the party to fire the HISTORIC VICE PRESIDENT™. Dems don’t need a huge one-off story to push Kamala out. They just need a flimsy excuse to make a high-and-mighty statement any minute now about how they can’t tolerate such lingering questions prior to a major election. Poof – they come off looking like the good guys and their problem is solved. Bring on President Newsom!
