In May, a jury found that Trump sexually abused Carroll but did not find that he raped her. Carroll was awarded $5 million.

The filing says Carroll responded, “oh yes he did, oh yes he did,” after being asked on the network for her thoughts on the jury’s finding that Trump was not liable for rape.

[Is this really a good use of Trump’s time and resources while he (a) runs for office and simultaneously (b) defends himself from criminal charges in federal court? He doesn’t have any choice about (b), but he certainly does with this situation. He could just have kept his mouth shut and focused on the election; instead, he’s turning 2023 into As The Trump Turns. The big question is: will voters tire of it and want more focus on the stakes for themselves in this election? — Ed]
