Orange Unified School District is just one of hundreds of districts across the nation that parents managed to flip in the great Parent Revolt of 2022.

It also happens to be just down the road from where I live, and during my own race I partnered with some of the parents running to support them, share resources and strategize. I was devastated to lose my own race, but seeing Orange Unified flip and seeing the work of my fellow parents rewarded there was a great joy.

Naturally, the teachers unions are outraged. They have begun a recall effort on the conservative members in hope of restoring the “natural order.”
