He used to be entertaining in his own unpredictable, chaotic, often nasty kind of way, but that was before we really got to know him. Now, it’s an old, tired act and it’s way past time to move on. But he’s incapable of moving on. He’s always looking through the rear view mirror.
[The question will be whether Republican voters think it’s way past time to move on. They have to see a viable alternative that will still fight the same fights for them, if not for Trump. That’s why the only real viable alternative to Trump in the primary is DeSantis, not any of the other candidates either committed to the primaries or considering an entry. Glenn Youngkin might have been another, but he’s not going to get in the race — likely because DeSantis will occupy that lane with a massive war chest. — Ed]
