I’d say that Tucker would have been better off launching his own Internet platform for such an approach, because working on Elon’s platform means having to know Elon’s boundaries — and he does have some. But passing up the Fox money left over in his contract means Tucker may need to wait for the kind of money necessary to launch such a significant platform. A deal with Twitter gets him back into the game the quickest, plus his options are still open for other choices later.
