[Most Americans aren’t sold on it because it’s a bad deal for most Americans on a strictly economic basis. People buy cars for *lots* of different reasons, and EVs clearly have some traction. But for those who stick to numbers and cost-benefit analyses, EVs simply don’t pay off for most people. — Ed]
