According to the LinkedIn page of marketing lead from Warner Bros. Games, a point on his resume lists that Hogwarts Legacy “achieved 256% to plan sell-thru at launch and exceeded 12M units in sales in first two weeks earning $850M+.”

While estimates, internal and external, can wildly fluctuate, WB likely expected Hogwarts Legacy to be a hit, but this indicates it was 2.5x the hit they may have expected.

[So much for the boycotts, the attacks on Rowling as a TERF, and the cooperation of the mainstream media with the radical-transgender attempts to cancel both Rowling and the Harry Potter industry.
