It’s time for @SenFeinstein to resign. We need to put the country ahead of personal loyalty. While she has had a lifetime of public service, it is obvious she can no longer fulfill her duties. Not speaking out undermines our credibility as elected representatives of the people.

[Pretty bold. Khanna’s running for the open seat in the primary, but this might backfire on him. If Feinstein resigns, Gavin Newsom will have to appoint a replacement, who would almost certainly vault into the lead position for the 2024 election. Newsom angered black and female Democrats by selecting Alex Padilla to replace Kamala Harris a couple of years ago, so the odds of him picking another man are somewhere between slim and none. Khanna had better hope that Feinstein doesn’t follow his advice. — Ed]
