Tamaulipas Gov. Américo Villarreal said that one of the surviving U.S. citizens was wounded and the other was not.

[This will raise the temperature for American intervention south of the border against the cartels. Lindsay Graham has already indicated that he would introduce an AUMF bill in the Senate that would allow American military forces to attack cartels, and likely to secure the border by crossing it and fortifying it on the Mexican side. We’ll see how much appetite there is for more military action, especially run by Joe Biden. I’m guessing not much. — Ed]
