On Friday, Libs of TikTok received an email from Slack, the messaging platform we use for our journalism and business, notifying us that we had been terminated from their service. Slack claimed Libs of TikTok’s termination was for “violations of the Acceptable Use Policy.” …

Slack has refused to give Libs of TikTok an answer as to how we violated their Acceptable Use Policy. They claim that “If a violation of the policy is deliberate, repeated or presents a credible risk of harm to other users, our customers, the Services or any third parties, we may suspend or terminate your access.” If we had to guess the policy violation, it would be the one everybody tries getting us with: “activity that incites or encourages violence or hatred against individuals or groups.”
