“There’s a hilarious thing— I don’t even know if I should share this s—, but the final scene, they don’t even kiss,” Schulz said. “It’s CGI. Swear to God.”

[Yikes. If this is true, then it will open up a huge can of worms, especially given the film’s explicit lecture on racism. And it would be dumb, since interracial kisses were last controversial in the 1970s. Worth recalling, though: according to William Shatner, the supposed first such kiss on TV in “Star Trek” was also faked with some camera trickery. NBC was allegedly worried about boycotts in the South in the late 1960s when that episode aired. — Ed]
