[Has the NFL learned this lesson in the last couple of years? The political lectures have certainly been dialed back, even if the silly “End Racism” logos linger on the goalposts and end zones, and players’ helmets still sport woke slogans. No one’s kneeling at the National Anthem any longer, and even the ads highlighting social-justice activism have faded away for the most part. Perhaps the league and its players have belatedly recognized the damage done … or maybe they’re just waiting for the biggest platform. — Ed]
