BRZEZINSKI: “That is amazing. That’s amazing.”
SCARBOROUGH: “So, James if Donald Trump just came out and gave an endorsement on TRUTH Social for Kevin McCarthy and a lot of the people, the insurrectionists, weirdos and freaks are Donald Trump’s biggest supporters, do you think that maybe they — they work something out and — and McCarthy may get the votes today or do you think that these most extreme members are going to be willing to buck Donald Trump today?”
CARVILLE: “Joe, that’s what I say, yes. It doesn’t matter what Donald Trump does. He’s gone pecan, OK? That’s a part of that he’s done. He’s occupied so much space in our minds and so much space and everything. And he was backing McCarthy, he made calls, no one cares. I mean, literally one day, and I don’t know when that day was, they stopped care. And I don’t think they’re very interested in him. I don’t think he can help McCarthy. And I — I just don’t think he has much of a political force anymore. I guess he’s got some residual power within a certain element of Republican Party, but — nut not as much as people think and — and certainly a ton less than he did three months ago. I — I — I just really don’t think he’s that big of a factor.”
BRZEZINSKI: “James Carville, thank you very much for being on this morning. We appreciate it.”
[Events certainly proved that today. We’ll see what Trump does to recover from it. — Ed]
