Miguel Diaz-Canel delivered a new year’s address for 2023 with a message calling for hope and how he was counting on all the Cuban people after 2022, a year he described as one of the “most challenging” in the country’s history. …
Diaz-Canel warned that 2023 may be even “more challenging,” something he classified as “more attractive to everyone who considers themselves a revolutionary.”
With a call to “work with passion and with the desire to continue conquering the impossible,” the president made a veiled reference to the massive migration that marked the ending year and invited Cubans to “make your dreams come true here, where we all learned to dream.”
