“I would recommend that he cooperate because when you have nothing to hide, that’s what I always recommend,” Habba said.
“He has no issue being deposed, even though the left-wing media would like to pretend that he does. He has no issue being subpoenaed and answering questions about what happened that day, and he should.
“What he did was very public, and it was really nothing other than to say to go out peacefully,” Habba said, in an apparent reference to the speech Trump gave at the Ellipse in Washington, D.C. on January 6, 2021, where he told his supporters protesting the 2020 election results that if they don’t “fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore.”
Habba suggested that Nancy Pelosi should also be subpoenaed while pushing the widely disputed claim that Trump formally requested additional National Guard troops be brought into D.C. on January 6, which the House speaker denied.
