Republican Senators Susan Collins of Maine, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Mitt Romney of Utah joined Democrats in voting to force Jackson’s nomination out of the deadlocked Senate Judiciary Committee on Monday. They are also likely to vote in favor of Jackson’s appointment when a full Senate vote is expected to take place by the end of the week.
During Jackson’s confirmation hearings, other Republicans repeatedly questioned Jackson’s record of sentencing cases related to child porn. In a tweet that echoed an earlier comment from Donald Trump Jr., Greene accused the pro-Jackson Republicans of supporting pedophiles after they voted to move the nomination forward.
“Murkowski, Collins, and Romney are pro-pedophile,” Greene tweeted. “They just voted for #KBJ.”
