"[W]e have a Republican party who frankly is operating as if they are pro-COVID"

“I don’t think there is any question as we enter Year Three of the pandemic everybody is tired of it,” Sebelius said. “Everybody is worried and certainly, the 900,000 lives lost is an unimaginable tragedy and it continues and ripple effect all kinds of people. I think what everybody agrees upon is we want kids to be able to stay in school because the loss of not having school has been damaging to millions of children. We want the workforce to go to work safely and securely.”

“Frankly, we have a Republican party who frankly is operating as if they are pro-COVID,” Sebelius said. “They see each of these opportunities as a great joy because they are bad for Biden. We have a local Republican-led legislature that has confronted every step along the way. They don’t want to expand testing. They dismantled our track-and-trace program. They made sure that we couldn’t use vaccine passports to do anything. They’ve threatened businesses that they can’t put things in place. Joe Biden is trying to do this with one hand tied behind his back and one party fighting him every step along the way.”
