In May, after the Washington Post reported the CNN anchor was working quietly to help his brother beat multiple sexual misconduct allegations, critics rightly denounced the entire rotten set-up. After all, Chris Cuomo used CNN’s airwaves last year to promote his brother. Chris Cuomo then recused himself from covering his brother’s scandals. Now it comes out Chris Cuomo has been coaching his older brother on how to manage sexual misconduct allegations?
In response to the well-deserved criticism, the CNN anchor apologized to his viewers, saying it wouldn’t happen again.
“I understand why that was a problem for CNN,” Cuomo said on his show. “It will not happen again. It was a mistake because I put my colleagues here, who I believe are the best in the business, in a bad spot. I never intended for that. I would never intend for that, and I am sorry for that.”
Yet, here we are roughly 80 days later, and the Washington Post reports the CNN anchor apparently never stopped advising his brother.
