The girl, identified by family members as seven-year-old Stella Cattarossi, was pulled from the rubble in Surfside while her father was helping to sift through the wreckage, Local 10 reported. The distraught father wrapped his daughter's body in his jacket and placed a small American flag on the gurney Stella was being carried out on, a witness said. Stella's dad, her uncle, and other rescuers who helped recover her body then escorted the girl's remains through a group of first responders lined up on the roadway.
