We're starting to see downward trend in coronavirus cases

But, with fingers crossed, it should be noted that the month of May has thus far seen a positive trend. On May 11th, there were 18,600 new cases, according to Johns Hopkins. That’s the second straight day that cases have been below 20,000 — the first time that’s happened since late March. The trend goes back longer than two days though. New cases have decline for four straight days, and have not reached above 30,000 since May 1st.

The news is even more encouraging considering that the U.S. tested about 100,000 more people on May 11th than it did on May 1st, according to the COVID Tracking Project — a record 394,711.
