Some on Twitter — who appeared sympathetic to Ocasio-Cortez — added Twitter comments that mocked Scalise’s near-death experience like “snipe his ass” and “she’s got better aim than” the now deceased shooter who attacked Scalise. As such, the Louisana Republican bowed out of the discourse and encouraged a House floor discussion with the New York progressive.

When asked by co-host Brian Kilmeade if he had received a phone call from AOC, Scalise flatly said that he had not. When pressed, Scalise added that he wished that Ms. Ocasio-Cortez would “stand up to this kind of discussion.”
