New York attorney general issues subpoenas to every Catholic diocese in the state

New York has become the latest state to embark on a major investigation of sex crimes committed by Catholic priests and covered up by church leadership. A person familiar with the investigation said the attorney general’s office sent civil subpoenas to the eight Catholic dioceses.
