Poll: Americans find Comey more trustworthy than Trump

Respondents to an ABC News-Washington Post poll taken April 8-11 said that Comey is “more believable” than Trump by a 48-32 margin.

Trump fired Comey in May, purportedly over his handling of the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails, but acknowledging later that the FBI investigation into possible collusion between his campaign and Russia played a role.

Nearly half–47 percent–of poll respondents said they disapproved of Trump’s decision to fire Comey, compared to only 33 percent who said they approve.
