It is understandable that all who were involved with Weinstein are horrified–or maybe just embarrassed they all got caught covering for him–and want to distance themselves as much as possible. This all has the feel of make-believe though.

Even Polanski’s name is still on all of his projects.

Hollywood probably wants to pretend Weinstein never existed because so many of them were complicit in what he did over the years. As more of the details of this disturbing tale come out, it becomes more and more apparent that a lot of people knew what he was up to. Perhaps many of them feel that some of their you-know-whats can be saved if they begin playing “out of sight, out of mind” sooner rather than later.
