Americans’ initial reaction to President Donald Trump’s nomination of Judge Neil Gorsuch to the U.S. Supreme Court is more positive than negative — 45% say the Senate should vote to confirm Gorsuch while 32% say it should not. However, support for confirming Gorsuch is lower than what Gallup has found for most recent Supreme Court nominees in the first days after presidents announced their selection.
