Video: Celebrities make personalized video appeal to GOP elector, mistakenly identify her as a man

“Mr. McMillan,” Sheen said. “Our Founding Fathers built the electoral college to safeguard the American people from the dangers of a demagogue, and to ensure that the presidency only goes to someone who is, to an eminent degree, endowed with the requisite qualifications.”

Sheen and the other celebrities tailored their entired their entire two minute 21 second pitch to “Mr. McMillan,” trying to get McMillan, the vice chair of the Kansas republican party, to vote for someone other than Trump. There’s only one problem: Ashley McMillan is a woman.

Even if they had addressed McMillan as a woman, the message seemed unlikely to work. In an op-ed she penned for the Wall Street Journal, McMillan stated her intent to vote for Trump and specifically noted that “coastal elites” would not sway her.
