Michael Moore begs Trump: Please attend your intelligence briefings

The root of his angst comes from reports that the President-elect has willingly chosen to eschew daily intelligence briefings, opting to receive only three in his first month since the election. While reports have indicated that those around him, like VP-elect Mike Pence, have received many more of these crucial briefings instead, Moore insists it’s simply not enough, invoking the infamous “Bin Laden Determined to Strike in U.S.” briefing that President George W. Bush allegedly ignored while on vacation one month before September 11, 2001 (Bush, for the record, famously told his CIA briefer that day, “All right. You’ve covered your ass, now”).

“With all due respect Mr. President-elect,” said Moore Wednesday night, “on our behalf, you have to pay attention. You have to attend these briefings. This is our country. This is our security. This is our safety. You’re horsing around with all this nonsense,” he added in reference to the President-elect’s penchant for Tweeting, “and you’re not doing you’re number one job, and the number one job for the President is to make sure that the country is safe.”
