Trump narrows ad-spending gap

With his new battleground-state advertising blitz, Donald Trump has narrowed his ad-spending gap with Hillary Clinton, but still trails by a wide margin.

According to numbers from Advertising Analytics, the Clinton campaign has spent more than $81 million over the airwaves during the general election, while Trump’s campaign has spent more than $13 million — a 6-to-1 margin.

But last week, Clinton’s camp was outspending Trump by 10-1, 75 million to $7.7 million.

When outside spending from Super PACs is factored in, Team Clinton is outspending Team Trump, $132 million to $28.7 million.

That 5-to-1 margin is consistent where it was last week.
