Scott Walker resists endorsing Trump: "It's just sad in America that we have such poor choices right now"

“It’s just sad in America that we have such poor choices right now,” Walker said in an interview with Madison, Wisconsin’s WKOW that was first reported by Politico.

“[Trump] is not yet the nominee. Officially that won’t happen until the middle of July and so for me that’s kind of the timeframe,” Walker said. “In particular I want to make sure that he renounces what he says, at least in regards to this judge.”

Trump called a judge’s “Mexican heritage” a conflict of interest that should prevent him from presiding over a lawsuit against Trump University. Several party leaders have called out Trump for his comments including Speaker Paul Ryan and Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.).
