Asked whether he would have any interest in an appointment to the Supreme Court, Sen. Ted Cruz said becoming a justice was “not a desire of my heart.” | Getty
Ted Cruz on Friday said he has no interest in becoming a Supreme Court justice, present or future.
“I’ll tell you that that is not a desire of my heart,” the Texas senator said in an interview on WBAP 820 AM.
Cruz, who served as Texas’ solicitor general prior to being elected senator, noted that he has “had several opportunities in the past to go to the bench, and I certainly deeply respect the job that the justices do.”
