Donald Trump campaign manager Corey Lewandowski assured on CNN this afternoon that a supposed “pivot” from Trump on the question of behavior and acting presidential isn’t gonna happen.

Jake Tapper asked him about Paul Manafort‘s comment to RNC members that Trump has been “playing a part” and will evolve. Lewandowski insisted all he meant was that Trump has “tailor-made” messages for different-sized crowds.

He talked about how much Trump has been able to fire up people at massive rallies and told Tapper, “You cover it so well usually.” (A reference to how much CNN shows Trump rallies live on TV.)

But Lewandowski firmly insisted, “The message is the same and Donald Trump will never change.”
