Presidential candidate Donald Trump has a friend in Fox News host Sean Hannity.
Hannity has hosted Trump on his show dozens of times since last summer, often at critical junctures in the race. Trump has secured hours of airtime the night before primaries and caucuses, including several extravagant interviews that lasted the entire hour of Hannity’s show. While Hannity has often interviewed Trump’s competitors, none have been given the same platform to spread their message as Trump.
Sweetening the deal further, Trump has rarely been asked difficult questions during these appearances. Quite the opposite.
“Were you really number one in your class?” Hannity asked Trump last August, repeating a false story first circulated by Trump in 1973. Trump did not appear on the Dean’s List of 56 people from his graduating class, and has declined to release his academic transcripts.
