“All the gates of civility have been blown apart,” he told host Jake Tapper on CNN’s “State of the Union.”
“We don’t know what’s going to happen next,” the Republican presidential candidate said. “Everybody on both sides can just say or do anything they want.
“Do we really want to live in a country where everybody hates each other and is at everybody’s throats? That’s what it feels like. We’re heading in a very dangerous direction.”

Rubio also argued that Trump is not the White House hopeful Americans either need or deserve.
