Contrary to Donald Trump’s impressions, “the Hispanics” do not love him. A new Washington Post-ABC News poll reveals that eight in 10 Hispanic voters (82 percent) have a negative view of the Republican presidential frontrunner and, for 73 percent, that disdain is “strongly unfavorable.” As The Washington Post points out, “even liberal Democrats aren’t that intensely anti-Trump.” In that group, only 68 percent had a “strongly unfavorable” view of him.
Overall though, Trump’s favorability ratings have remained relatively stable, even as Ben Carson and Carly Fiorina have risen in the polls. Trump’s ratings remain at 35 percent favorable and 60 percent unfavorable, “indicating the recent rise for Carson and Fiorina in support for the GOP nomination might be more due to their rising appeal than increasing dislike of Trump,” The Washington Post reports.
And there is one group with whom Trump’s favorability is improving: African Americans.
