Limbaugh pointed out how there’s a lot of Trump-bashing going on on the Republican side, including amongst some of the candidates and Fox News establishment types. But what would happen if Trump actually won the nomination and went up against whichever Hillary Clinton the Democrats choose as their nominee.
Well, that whole “rally around the nominee” in the interest of unification thing would be a bust from the start. And Limbaugh recalled how other candidates have been careful not to go too far before, taking the thought of Trump winning the nomination as something within the realm of possibility.
The other concern, Limbaugh pointed out, is that “if they’re making it clear they won’t support him if he becomes the nominee, which is the same thing as saying outrageous things you can’t walk back, then that just further might push somebody to third party.”
