Media spins horrific murder into a fight over a flag

Elsewhere, C-SPAN’s Howard Mortman dredged up 15-year-old footage of former President George W. Bush addressing the question of the battle flag during a 2000 GOP primary debate in South Carolina. The Huffington Post meanwhile reminded its readers that former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush in 2001 ordered that the flag be taken down from its place at the state capitol in Tallahassee.
